A campus as large & diverse as CSULB can be a lonely place and being part of the Greek
system provides an instant network of college men and women with something in common.

Being an AOII provides opportunities for friendship and sisterhood, scholarship and study
programs, chapter housing and so much more.  It gives you an opportunity to be part of a
group of young women from which you can learn and share so much as well as develop and
use your own talents and strengths.
Alpha Omicron Pi participates in Formal Recruitment each Fall.

Formal Recruitment is coordinated through the Panhellenic Office which is part of the
CSULB Student Life & Development department.  Recruitment is typically held the third week
of school and includes all of the national sororities represented on campus.

In addition to Formal Recruitment, Continuing Open Recruitment is held by some sororities
on campus.  Continuing Open Recruitment, or COR, allows new or transfer students at
CSULB to become a new member during the Spring semester or in the Fall semester
following Formal Recruitment.

COR is less structured and AOII holds several casual, but fun!, COR events throughout
each semester and provides the same opportunity to meet us and learn more about what
AOII offers.
